Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using VastuScan ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

VastuScan is a mobile application that provides AI-powered Vastu Shastra analysis of floor plans and living spaces. The App offers three modes of analysis, an AI chatbot named Deesha (Vastu Assistant), and report generation features.

3. Disclaimer of Professional Advice

IMPORTANT: VastuScan provides informational analysis based on Vastu Shastra principles using artificial intelligence. The App does NOT provide:

  • Professional architectural advice
  • Structural engineering recommendations
  • Guaranteed outcomes or predictions
  • Scientific or medical guidance

All analyses are for informational purposes only. Vastu Shastra is a traditional belief system, and VastuScan neither endorses nor refutes its efficacy. Users should consult qualified professionals before making significant property or renovation decisions.

4. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. You must sign in using Google or Apple authentication to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information and must not create accounts for fraudulent purposes.

5. Credits & In-App Purchases

The App uses a credit system for analyses. Credits are purchased via Apple App Store or Google Play Store in-app purchases. Credits are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the respective app store's refund policies. Credits do not expire. Purchased credits are tied to your account and cannot be transferred.

6. Free Tier

New users receive one free analysis, a Quick Scan or a Compass Check, and five free questions to Deesha. The free analysis includes the PDF export of that report. The Full Report has no free tier. Free tier benefits cannot be reset or transferred.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the App
  • Use the App to harass, deceive, or harm others
  • Share or resell your account credentials
  • Use automated systems to interact with the App
  • Upload images that contain personally identifiable information of others without their consent

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code and Vastu knowledge base are the intellectual property of the app publisher (Varun Agarwal). The AI models that perform the analysis belong to their respective providers.

9. Your Floor Plans and Content

When you upload a floor plan, photo or other content, you confirm that you own it, or that you have permission from its owner (for example the builder, architect, developer or property owner) to upload it and have it analysed, and that doing so does not break any law, agreement or anyone else's rights, including copyright and privacy.

You keep ownership of what you upload. You allow us to store it and to process it, including through the AI services that analyse it on our behalf, to produce your reports and answer your questions, until you delete it or your account. We do not use it for any other purpose.

You indemnify and hold harmless the app publisher (Varun Agarwal) against any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from content you upload or from your breach of these Terms.

If you believe content in VastuScan infringes your rights, write to support@vastuscan.app with the details and we will review it and remove it where appropriate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app publisher (Varun Agarwal) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Property purchase decisions based on app reports
  • Renovation or structural changes based on app suggestions
  • Financial losses of any kind
  • Emotional distress from analysis results

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the preceding 12 months.

11. AI-Generated Content

Analysis reports and chatbot responses are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy based on Vastu Shastra principles, AI-generated content may contain errors or inconsistencies. Always verify important findings with a qualified Vastu consultant.

12. Creator Rewards

You can earn free credits by posting about VastuScan on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, on these terms:

  • The post must be public, made after you received your creator code, show your code in its caption or description, be about VastuScan, and be your own.
  • A post qualifies when it passes the view threshold shown in the App (currently 10,000 views) and is still up, with its views, at the end of the waiting period shown in the App (currently 15 days).
  • Each post can earn a reward once. You can receive at most one reward per calendar month; a further qualifying post in the same month is rewarded the following month.
  • Views must be real. Posts with bought or artificial views, or that break these Terms, are rejected, and a reward already given may be withdrawn, including any credits not yet used.
  • Indian advertising guidelines (ASCI) require posts that earn a reward to be labelled as an advertisement, for example with #ad or #collab. Labelling your post is your responsibility.
  • Rewards are credits in the App. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or refunded.
  • Our decision on whether a post qualifies is final. If you disagree, write to us through Contact us in the App and we will review it.
  • We may change or end Creator Rewards at any time. Posts already accepted under the earlier terms will be honoured.

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes through the App.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
